J. Eric Thomason

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Specialist
J. Eric Thomason has over eight years of CADD/GIS experience as well as four years of archaeological field and lab experience. He has worked on several large mapping projects involving both field data collection and subsequent map production using Autodesk Map 3d, ArcMap, and MicroStation. He also has archaeology field experience in Kentucky, Illinois and Missouri on a number of Phase I, II, and III projects. Eric graduated from Transylvania University in 2003 and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in history.
When not working, Eric enjoys the outdoors and spends a large amount of time hiking and kayaking. He is also involved in various community-related issues and is active in Preserve Lexington, a non-profit group formed in 2006 to promote awareness of issues involving the cultural and historic preservation of downtown Lexington.
Mr. Thomason joined Cultural Resource Analysts, Inc. in 2002.
