I was born in Kittredge Colorado but soon moved to Lakewood Colorado. I have been doing odd jobs since I was old enough to wield a tool and not put my eye out, most of the time. I have been a lawn sprinkler repair man, a plumber, a backhoe operator, a wastewater technician, a oil change technician, a ski lift operator, a cook (peanut and bacon sandwiches anyone?), a weldor, a GIS technician, along with many others but most important to me, an archaeologist.
I received a B.A. in anthropology from The University of Colorado in 2003, along with a B.A. in history and a Minor in biology. In 2008 I finished my M.A. in anthropology from Mississippi State University. My thesis was centered on prehistoric settlement patterns in East-Central Mississippi. I have many and varied archaeological interests including: environmental archaeology, prehistoric Americans, mythology, ancient writings, evolutionary archaeology, settlement patterns, and historical archaeology. I have been doing archaeology since 2005 and have had the opportunity to work in Wyoming, Mississippi, Utah, Missouri, Illinois, and Kentucky.
Personally I like to build things (trucks, engines, houses, metal sculptures) there is something gratifying to me about building something that actually functions. I also like to be outdoors (hiking, skiing, camping, wheeling) if I can get outside I’m quite happy. On rainy and snowy days (and when I’m just tired) I enjoy scary things, horror movies, suspenseful video games, and thriller books. Lastly I'm a big baseball fan GO PIRATES! (the baseball team).
