Jennifer M. Faberson
Historic Materials Specialist
Jennifer Faberson has several years of archaeological field and lab experience in the Midwest and Southeastern United States. She earned her B.A. in 2004 from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and has since pursued a career in historic materials research.
Since joining the CRAI team in 2006 she has
completed historic material analysis on over 25 historic sites
in the Ohio Valley region. She has also been a contributing
author on over 15 cultural resource management reports. Ms.
Faberson is currently conducting research on container glass
and tobacco pipes in order to make sure that the CRAI lab
is using the most up to date research information. Her responsibilities
include the identification of historic artifacts, cataloguing
historic materials, specialized research and analyses, technical
report writing, as well as assisting the laboratory supervisor.
In the past, Ms. Faberson’s research has included urban
archaeology, women’s history from 1750 to 1945, nationalism,
and inequalities regarding sex, race, and gender.
Outside of work, Ms. Faberson enjoys spending
time at home with her partner, practicing softball with her
daughter, spending time with their pets, landscaping, cooking,
and doing too many crafts to keep track of. |
