Field and Laboratory Technician

Jenny Taylor-Tijou began work with CRA in 2005 as a field and laboratory technician. In addition to those duties, she now supervises all flotation procedures and also performs historic analysis.

Jenny earned her bachelor's degree in anthropology from the University of Kentucky in 1995. She then worked for the University for the next four years on various phase I, II, and III projects in the field and laboratory, supervising the flotation lab.

After meeting her husband Dominique in 1998, she briefly moved abroad to Italy and France. Jenny and her husband settled back in Lexington where she resumed work at the University of Kentucky. In 2001, their daughter Cecile was born. And twin sons Luc and Etienne followed in 2003.

Jenny's professional interests include historic archaeology, paleoethnobotany, and archaeological education outreach. Outside of archaeology, Jenny likes to spend time with her family playing outside and talking walks. She also enjoys gardening, cooking, and reading.
