Paul G. Paternostro has more than six years of archaeological field experience in the midwestern, southeastern, and southwestern United States. Paul has experience supervising field surveys, authoring technical reports, and excavating historic and prehistoric archaeological sites, as well as a thorough knowledge of transit equipment use. His research interests include Near Eastern archaeology and artifacts of the prehistoric American Bottom. He has a bachelor's degree in anthropology as well as many Information Technology certificates. His hobbies include gaming, listening to metal, and hanging out with his pets.

Paul joined the CRA staff in 2005 with primary duties as a Field Supervisor and report author. He has supervised various phase I archaeological surveys that include coal, U. S. Forest Service, and Kentucky Transportation Cabinet highway projects, and he has worked on many phase II and III projects as both a Field Technician as well as crew chief on more recent projects.
