Tosh McKetta

Tosh McKetta was raised in northern Idaho where he learned that life was a lot more interesting the further he travelled from civilization. Forced from birth to toil on his father's tree farm, he quickly figured out that he enjoyed working outside but not with chainsaws.

Tosh received his bachelor's degree in anthropology from the University of Idaho in 2003 and his master's from the University of Montana in 2010. He has been working as a professional archaeologist since 1998 for the United States Forest Service, various universities, and cultural resource management firms in Idaho, Oregon, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming and British Columbia. His professional interests include soils, Lithics, geoarchaeology, and macrobotanical analysis.

When not in the field, he is an avid outdoorsman, who often disappears to go backpacking, cross-country skiing, hiking, biking, hunting, or fishing.
